Planning
Join Binning Singletons channels (Slack).
Communicate the opportunities to groups outside of Twitter.
Ask for help or offer to assist with planning. Your mentor wants to help you have a great experience. Ask them questions about the logistics of the meeting, how they handle the challenges a large meeting presents, and anything else you need help with.
Interactions with Singletons
We expect all participants to adhere to the Code of Conduct and be respectful and considerate of others.
Posters and Presentations
Attempt to attend as many other Singletons’ posters, and presentations as possible, especially within your bin, even if they might be outside your primary focus.
Encourage a colleague to visit Singletons’ posters and offer additional insights .
If you are at a more established point in your career, endeavor to introduce your colleagues to the Singletons at different points in their careers. If you are less established, go the the talks and posters of the Mentors. Observe how they handle things and talk to them about their work.
If a you are looking to change positions/fields, ask your mentor to make relevant introductions when possible.
