All singletons, mentors, sponsors and organizers involved in Binning Singletons are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event. We are expecting cooperation from all participants to help ensuring a safe environment for everybody.
General
Binning Singletons is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion (or lack thereof). We do not tolerate harassment of workshop participants in any form. We defines harassment as “unwanted and unwelcome attention or other conduct that creates an environment where a reasonable person would feel unwelcome, intimidated, excluded, or abused.” Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter and other online media.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact meeting staff immediately, and notify the Binning Singletons organizers.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from Binning Singletons activities.
Mentors
I am participating in this program because I care about helping people get the most out of their meeting experience. As a Binning Singletons mentor, I agree to:
- Honor my commitment to my mentee
- Be a positive influence
- Support the goals of my mentee
- Be respectful and professional in my communication
- Resolve any communications problems quickly
Singletons (mentees)
I am participating in this program because I am looking for guidance and encouragement from a seasoned meeting attendee. As a “singleton,” I agree to:
- Honor my commitment to my mentor
- Be honest about my meeting goals and open to advice
- Be respectful and professional in my communication
- Resolve any communications problems quickly
We expect participants to follow these rules at all meeting and Binning Singletons events.
