Planning

Join Binning Singletons channels on Slack.

Communicate the opportunities to groups outside of social media.

Ask for help or offer to assist with planning. Those attending for the first time may not know what to expect at ASM Microbe. Practical planning assistance has been instrumental in helping these participants have a better meeting experience.

Interactions with Singletons

We expect all participants to adhere to the Code of Conduct and be respectful and considerate of others.

Posters and Presentations

Attempt to attend as many Singletons’ posters, and presentations as possible, even if they might be outside your primary focus.

Encourage a colleague to visit Singletons’ posters and offer additional insights .

If you are at a more established point in your career, endeavor to introduce your colleagues to the  Singletons at different points in their careers.

If a Singleton is looking to change positions/fields, make relevant introductions when possible.

Networking is difficult for many Singletons. Do your best to make it easier.
