Have you ever felt isolated and alone at a large conference? There’s so much cool science going on and everyone seems to know each other. People run into old friends and seem like they’d be really fun, but you don’t know anyone in their social circles.
If it’s your first time attending, or you’re coming alone, these experiences can be even harder. We started Binning Singletons to help with this! If you self-identify as a Singleton, we’ll group you with up to 4 more folks in your track so you have a crew from the start of the meeting. We’ll match this group with an experienced mentor who can show you the ropes and introduce you to people they know and help you expand your network.
If you’d like to help these folks our, you should be a Mentor! You’ll provide assistance with meeting planning and networking, and help them have a successful meeting.
